Cruz Cajon range now stocked in Music Store in Cambridge, UK

DSC_0005As of last Monday (the 25th Nov) the Cruz Cajon is officially stocked and available from the Millers music Centre in Cambridge.
This is the first store to display the Cruz Cajons, and we’re very excited about more of this in the new year!
The music centre was proud to display 8 of my beautiful cajons right in the centre of their store, they even added a few posters of me up around the beautifully displayed cajon range.
It was definitely something to be celebrated so we decided to kick it off with a free cajon workshop in the music centre on the evening of Fri 6th Dec.

About 30 people attended the workshop. We had a lot of fun!

Did you know?
Our new range has just been out since end Nov and within the first month we hit the record with the most online orders we’ve ever received in one month in Dec 2013, with 50 cajon orders online and the 8 sold in Millers music store. Most of these beauties were sent all over the world to some very happy new Cruz cajon owners!

Keep an eye out for this one, perhaps soon you get to bump into a Cruz Cajon in a local music store near you!

Our NEW Cambridge cajon school started up today!

Excellent news! It seemed like we were going to cancel the Cambridge cajon courses, but we had so many last minute enrolees, and we are so so so proud (and I am personally extremely happy) that it did indeed work out! I now have an amazing class full of bright, super talented, very very nice people, I can only thank God for blessing me with such a great bunch to teach, and after taking them through today’s class, I am positive that this group is going to progress faster than any group before!! 🙂

Our first Cambridge cajon class on 23 Jan 2013…. what a jolly bunch! 🙂

Well that definitely should be the case as we have been bombarding Cambridge (the streets and the venues) with our cajon infused music with my band Fernando’s Kitchen. Cambridge has been practically home for us for the last 3 years, and even though we are London based, we have performaned in Cambridge more than in London in the past 3 yrs!
All I can say is that this is a very special to me, to start up our Cambridge cajon school, because there is something very personal for me about Cambridge, a place where I often get to talk to loads of the locals when we’re out busking in Cambridge, and after 3 yrs, you get to know many of them and love them as dear friends! I have come to love this city and the people of this city with a special love, and I am honoured that Cambridge itself have welcomed us and enjoyed our music! What a priveledge to be able to first busk and now teach and introduce the cajon to one of the most beautiful and peaceful cities in the UK! 🙂
Many thanks to Millers Music store for helping us out last minute with some cajons for the class!

Hey People! This week I decided to share a clip of my own band (Fernando’s Kitchen Trio) busking (also known as street performing) in the UK, Cambridge, with the new cruz cajon! the song is one of our original songs, called gitano moro, with Sebastian Diez on guitar, Heidi Joubert on cajon and vocals and Tom Blackwood on Bass.
Above is a picture of a drawing that an artist (Josie Camus) drew while we were performing! These artworks are on sale on the fernandos kitchen website.
